Pickled Beets

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (16 oz. sliced beets, drain and keep liquid)
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 2 sticks of cinnamon

Directions

    Add water to beet liquid to make 2 cups or to cover beets. Heat liquid.

    Add sugar, vinegar and cinnamon.

    Heat to boiling and pour over beets.
  4. 4
    Cover and refrigerate for at least 12 hours. Optional - add hard boiled eggs or slices of onion.
