  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. water
  • 2 c. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. cloves
  • 1 tsp. allspice

    Cook beets until tender.

    Combine syrup ingredients and heat to boiling.

    Boil 5 minutes.

    Add beets and simmer 15 minutes. Put in hot jars.
