  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. red wine vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. whole cloves
  • 4 c. (1 lb.) cranberries

    In a 2-quart non-aluminum saucepan, combine water, vinegar, sugar and cloves.

    Bring to a boil.

    Boil 5 minutes.

    Add cranberries.

    Return to boil.

    Boil for 2 minutes.

    Cool, then chill cranberries in syrup.
