- 500 ml Vinegar
- 3 Onions
- 10 ml Mixed Pickling Spice
- 15 ml Maizena
- 1 ml Curry Powder
- 3 ml Cayenne Pepper
- 375 ml Water (250ml & 125ml)
- 10 ml Turmeric
- 15 ml Sugar
Directions

1Fry hake in batter until golden

2Boil sliced onions in vinegar, 250ml water & 10ml pickling spice for 5min

3Add the remaining dry ingredients with another 125ml water and simmer for 3 minutes

4Pour mixture over fish & allow to stand for 2-3 days
