  • 1 qt. water
  • 1 pt. white vinegar
  • 1/2 c. salt
  • 1 to 2 lb. small okra
  • hot red peppers
  • garlic cloves

Directions

    Bring water, vinegar and salt to a boil.

    Pour over jars of packed small okra (jars and okra must be hot).
  3. 3
    Add to each jar a pod of hot red pepper and a clove of garlic.
  4. 4
    All of this must be very hot in order for the seals to pop close.
