  • 3 1/2 lb. okra
  • 1 pt. white vinegar
  • 1 qt. water
  • 1/3 c. salt
  • 3 small hot peppers (if desired)
  • garlic buds
  • 2 tsp. dill seed

    Pack okra in hot jars; put garlic bud in each jar.

    Pour boiling brine in jars and seal.

    Process in boiling water at simmering temperature for 10 minutes.

    Let set several weeks before opening.

    Yields 4 to 5 pints.
