  • 1 pint distilled white vinegar
  • 1 quart water
  • 2 tsp dill seed
  • 1/3 cup salt
  • 3 small hot peppers (optional)
  • 3 1/2 lbs small okra pods
  • 1 clove garlic per jar

Directions

    In pot, mix together and boil as brine:vinegar, water, dill seed, salt, and hot peppers.

    Wash and prepare okra.

    Pack okra and garlic tightly into hot, sterilized jars.

    Pour brine over okra in jars.

    Seal and process in boiling bath for 10 minutes.

    Ripen several weeks before opening.
