  • 2 red onions, cut into 1/8 inch slices
  • 1 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 cup water

Directions

    In a big bowl or big jar with a lid, submerge the onions in the vinegar and the water.

    Let sit for at least 12 hours or, covered, up to 2 weeks.

    Squeeze the excess liquid from the onions before using.
