- 4 qt. small onions
- 1 c. salt
- 1/4 c. pickling spices
- 2 qt. vinegar
- 2 c. sugar
Directions

1Peel onions.

2Add salt and let stand overnight.

3Put in colander and rinse thoroughly with cold water to remove all salt. Drain. Tie spices loosely in a bag.

4Boil 10 minutes with vinegar and sugar. Discard spices.

5Pack onions in hot sterilized jars. Pour hot vinegar mixture over onions.

6Seal at once.

7Process in boiling water bath for 5 minutes.
