Pickled Prunes

  • 1 lb dried prune
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 cup vinegar (I used cider vinegar)
  • 12 whole cloves
  • 4 sticks cinnamon
  • 1 cup brown sugar

Directions

    Soak prunes in water to cover 1 hour.

    Drain prunes; add enough water to liquid in which they soaked to make 1 1/2 cups.

    Combine water vinegar, and spices and bring to a boil.
  4. 4
    Add sugar and simmer for 12 minutes.

    Place prunes into sterilized jars.

    Pour liquid over prunes and remove any air bubbles.

    Seal and adjust with two piece lids.
  8. 8
    Process 15 minutes in boiling water bath.
