- 12 cucumbers (large)
- 2 c. white vinegar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
- 1 c. sugar
- turmeric (optional)
- alum (optional)
- onions
Directions

1Peel cucumbers; soak in salt brine overnight, also onions. Bring vinegar, water, mustard seed and sugar to a boil.

2Add cucumbers and onions.

3Boil about 3 minutes.

4Put in jars and seal at once.

5Add turmeric if you want it yellow.

6Can also add a little alum if you like.
