- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. granulated sugar
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 egg
- 3 Tbsp. or more water
Directions

1Sift flour before measuring.

2Add salt and sugar to flour and sift again.

3Using pastry blender, cut in shortening to flour mixture.

4Beat egg; blend in water and vinegar and pour over flour mixture and blend.

5Mixture will be more moist than standard mixture so wrap in wax paper and chill at least 30 minutes.

6Then leave at room temperature for at least 30 minutes before rolling out to use.
