  • 4 c. flour, sifted
  • 1 3/4 c. Crisco (cold)
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/2 c. cold water
  • 1 egg, beaten

    Sift flour, salt and sugar.

    Cut in Crisco.

    Mix egg, water and vinegar.

    Add to flour mixture.

    Divide in 4 parts.

    Keep chilled until rolled.

    Bake at 425° for 12 minutes.

    Yields 4 (9-inch) crusts.
