  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice or vinegar
  • 3/4 c. shortening
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar

    Sift flour, salt and sugar.

    Cut in shortening.

    Beat egg and vinegar (or lemon juice); blend with milk.

    Pour into dry ingredients.
