Pie Crust (For Cherry Pie) Recipe

  • 1/2 c. softened butter
  • 8 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 c. shortening
  • 3 1/3 c. flour
  • 1/3 c. cool water with 1 teaspoon vinegar added

    Blend butter and shortening into flour, salt and sugar till like course meal.

    Gently blend in cool water.

    Roll on lightly floured surface till it fits pie pan.

    (This makes 2 single or possibly 1 double.)

    If making baked pie shells bake at 375 degrees till lightly browned.
