- 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. shortening
- 5 to 7 Tbsp. ice water
Directions

1Sift flour and salt together; cut in shortening until pieces are size of small peas.

2Sprinkle 1 tablespoon water over part of mixture.

3Gently toss with fork; push to side of bowl.

4Repeat until all is moistened.

5Form into 2 balls.

6Flatten on lightly floured surface by pressing with hand 3 times across in both directions.

7Roll from center to edge until 1/8-inch thick.

8Makes one 8, 9 or 10-inch double crust pie.
