Ingredients

  • 3 oz. cream cheese
  • 4 Tbsp. sour cream
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 large can chicken broth
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 onions, chopped

Directions

    Combine cream cheese, sour cream, egg yolks, water and salt; mix well.

    Add flour; mix well.

    Knead until smooth.

    Roll out thin on lightly floured surface.

    Cut in circles (soup can works well as a cutter).

    Place 1 teaspoon filling in center of each circle.

    Dampen edges of dough and fold over filling.

    Drop in boiling chicken broth; cook for 5 to 10 minutes.

    Remove from broth.

    Melt butter in skillet and saute onions until soft.

    Place pierogi on platter and spoon onions and butter over.
