  • 1/2 lb. almond paste, broken into small pieces
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • pignolia nuts (about 2 c.)

Directions

    Beat egg whites with almond paste. Set aside. Sift together flour, sugars and salt.

    Stir into almond paste mixture. Form dough into logs approximately 2-inches long and roll in nuts to coat.

    Place on greased cookie sheet.

    Bake at 300° for 20 minutes.
