Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1/2 c. broken thin pasta (like angel hair)
- 1 c. bulgur
- 1/3 c. chopped fresh basil or 1 Tbsp. dried basil
- 1/4 c. chopped walnuts
- 1/2 tsp. fresh ground pepper
- 1 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 medium onion
- 2 c. chicken stock
- 3/4 c. cooked chick peas, drained
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Heat oil and margarine in large saucepan with tight fitting lid.

2Add pasta; cook over low heat, stirring constantly until golden brown.

3Add onion and bulgur.

4Cook 2 minutes.

5Add remaining ingredients.

6Bring to a boil.

7Reduce to low and cover. Simmer 20 minutes.

8Correct seasoning to taste and serve.

9Serves 8 to 10 as a meal and 16 as a side dish.
