- 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
- 1/3 c. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 2 c. boiling water
- 1/4 c. oil
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 4 1/2 c. flour
- 3 c. whole wheat flour
- 1/2 rye flour
Directions

1Combine cornmeal, brown sugar and salt in a bowl.

2Stir in gradually 2 cups boiling water; add oil.

3Cool to lukewarm. Combine flours in a bowl.

4Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water. Combine cornmeal, flour and yeast mixtures.

5Knead until smooth and elastic.

6Place in greased bowl and let rise until double.

7Punch dough down.

8Divide in half and knead 3 minutes.

9Shape into 2 greased loaf pans.

10Cover and let rise in warm place until double. Bake at 375° about 45 minutes.
