  • 1/2 c. crushed pineapple
  • 1/2 tsp. pineapple flavoring
  • 2 c. sliced beets, drained
  • 2 Tbsp. oleo, melted
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • dash of salt and pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch

Directions

    Heat the pineapple, vinegar and flavoring to boil.

    Combine sugar and cornstarch.

    Stir into boiling mixture.

    Cook until thick.

    Combine beets, oleo, salt and pepper.

    Add to mixture. Let stand one hour or more.

    Reheat to serve.
