  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 2/3 c. Milnot
  • 3/4 stick oleo
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Sift sugar (1 1/2 cups), flour, soda and salt.

    Add pineapple and egg.

    Pour into a greased and floured (9 x 13-inch) pan and bake at 350° for 40 minutes.

    For topping, boil sugar, Milnot and oleo for 5 minutes; then add vanilla.

    Pour over hot cake.
