  • 1/3 c. butter
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
  • 1 1/2 c. crushed pineapple
  • 1 tsp. cornstarch
  • 2/3 c. milk

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar; add egg yolks, beat.

    Add pineapple. Dissolve cornstarch in milk, add to mixture and mix.

    Fold in egg whites.

    Pour into unbaked pie shell.

    Bake at 400° for 10 minutes.

    Reduce heat to 350° and bake until brown and firm in the center.
