- 3 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 8 Tbsp. Crisco (not heaping)
- 3 c. flour (White Lily plain)
- 1 small can evaporated Pet milk
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Let eggs and butter get to room temperature.

3Cream Crisco, butter and sugar together.

4Add eggs one at a time.

5Alternately add flour, milk, lemon juice and vanilla.

6Make 4 (9-inch) layers and bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
