  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. crushed pineapple
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 c. nuts or coconut
  • maraschino cherries

Directions

    Cream together brown sugar, sugar, Crisco, egg and vanilla until fluffy.

    Add pineapple, flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder; mix well.

    Add nuts or coconut.

    Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet.

    Put a maraschino cherry on top of each. Bake at 350° until golden brown.
