- 2 cans (8 oz.) crushed pineapple, drained
- 1/4 c. softened butter
- 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/4 c. flour
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 36 walnut halves
Directions

1Drain pineapple, reserve juice for beverage.

2Cream butter with sugar.

3Beat in eggs, vanilla and pineapple.

4Combine remaining ingredients.

5Chill 1 hour.

6Drop by spoonfuls on baking sheet.

7Place a half walnut on top of each cookie.

8Bake at 350° for 18 to 20 minutes.

9Makes 3 dozen.
