- 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 2 c. milk
- 3 egg yolks, beaten
- 1 large can crushed pineapple
- dash of salt
- 1 prepared pie crust
Directions

1Cook pie crust in oven; cool.

2Mix dry ingredients of pie filling mixture in club aluminum saucepan (stainless steel will burn easier).

3Add butter, milk and beaten egg yolks.

4Reserve egg whites for meringue.

6Do not add crushed pineapple until mixture has cooked awhile and thickened.

7Pineapple will curdle milk if added too soon.

8Take pan off heat.

9Add pineapple and stir well.

10Pour into pie crust.

11Heap your favorite meringue recipe onto hot filling and seal edges to prevent shrinking.

12Bake and cool.
