  • 16 ounces pineapple canned, unsweetened, crushed, drained
  • 2 medium pears peeled, cored and diced
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 dash nutmeg
  • 3 tablespoons margarine
  • 23 cup matzo meal
  • 13 cup walnuts ground
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, light
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

    Preheat oven to 350F (180C).

    Combine filling ingredients in a mixing bowl and pat into a 9-inch square baking pan.

    Melt margarine in a skillet and remove from heat.

    Stir in the remaining topping ingredients until evenly coated with the margarine.

    Sprinkle evenly over the top of the pineapple mixture.

    Bake 25 to 30 minutes.
