Pineapple Dairy Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple, drained (reserve juice)
  • 1 1/2 c. miniature marshmallows
  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. jello (orange or any citrus flavor)
  • 2 c. whipped topping
  • 1 c. cottage cheese
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Drain juice from pineapple; add enough water to make 1 cup liquid.

    Combine juice, marshmallows and jello.

    Heat until marshmallows dissolve.

    Cool until almost set; then fold in whipped topping.

    Add nuts, pineapple and cottage cheese.

    Pour into a 1-quart mold or bowl or 9 x 9-inch pan.

    Refrigerate until serving.
