Pineapple Ham Balls

  • 3 c. ground ham
  • 1 c. bread crumbs
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 1/2 lb. ground pork
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 3/4 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 (20 oz.) can sliced pineapple

    Combine ham, pork and bread crumbs.

    Add eggs and pepper. Mix well.

    Chill.

    Form into 10 balls and set aside.

    Drain pineapple and reserve 1/2 cup juice.

    Put juice and sugar in saucepan.

    Add vinegar and mustard.

    Cook over low heat until sugar is dissolved.

    Arrange pineapple in a 9 x 13-inch ungreased pan.

    Place a ham ball on each slice.

    Pour sugar mixture over all.

    Cover and bake at 350° for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
