Pineapple Pound Cake

  • 1/2 c. butter flavor Crisco
  • 1/2 lb. butter or margarine
  • 2 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3/4 can crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 c. plain flour, sifted
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Cream shortening, butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition.

    Add pineapple. Add flour that has been sifted with baking powder. Add small amounts at a time alternately with milk.

    Pour into 10-inch tube pan. Place in cold oven. Turn oven to 325° and bake for 1 1/2 hours or until top springs back when touched lightly.

    Let stand for 10 minutes in pan.
