Pineapple Pound Cake

- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 2 3/4 c. sugar
- 6 large eggs
- 3 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. undrained, crushed pineapple
Directions

1Cream shortening, margarine and sugar together.

2Add eggs, one at a time and beat thoroughly after each.

3Add flour and baking powder (1 spoonful at a time alternately with milk).

4Add vanilla. Stir in crushed pineapple with juice and blend well.

5Pour into well-greased and floured 10-inch tube pan in cold oven.

6Bake at 325° for approximately 1 1/2 hours.

7Let stand a few minutes and remove from pan.

8Frost with Pineapple Icing.
