Pineapple Pound Cake

  • 2 c. Crisco
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 3 c. sifted cake flour
  • 8 eggs
  • dash of salt
  • 1 small can crushed pineapple
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

    Cream shortening.

    Add sugar, small quantity at a time.

    Add eggs, one at a time.

    Beat well after each.

    Add flour and pineapple, alternately.

    Bake in a large, greased and floured tube pan at 325° to 350° (according to your oven) for 1 hour or until done.

    (I cook mine at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
