- 1/2 lb. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 6 eggs
- 1/4 c. milk
- 3 c. plain flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. lemon flavoring
- 3/4 c. crushed pineapple
Directions

1Have ingredients at room temperature.

2Cream the butter, shortening and sugar.

3Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.

4Add flour that has been sifted with baking powder and salt, alternating with milk.

5Add lemon extract and pineapple.

6Mix well.

7Place in cold oven.

8Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

9Remove cake and glaze while hot.
