- 1 (20 oz.) can chunked pineapple
- 3 c. milk
- 1/3 stick butter
- 5 Tbsp. flour
- 4 eggs, separated
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
- vanilla wafers
Directions

1Combine milk and butter in saucepan over low heat.

2Add 1 1/2 cups of sugar, flour and egg yolks.

3Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened (about 30 minutes).

4Remove from heat; stir in vanilla flavoring.

5Pour into 10-inch round baking dish.

6Layer with pineapple and vanilla wafers.

7In bowl, add pinch of salt to egg whites.

8Beat until peak forms.

9Spread over top of pudding.

10Bake at 350° until egg whites are browned.
