Pineapple Upside-Down Cake

- 1 box cake mix (eggs and oil as per cake mix directions)
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 can sliced pineapple
- 1 jar whole maraschino cherries
Directions

1Mix cake according to package directions.

2Place pan on burner to melt butter (low setting).

3Stir in brown sugar (enough to completely cover bottom of pan).

4Distribute pineapple slices. Place one cherry in each slice.

5Spread cake batter evenly over mixture and bake until inserted toothpick comes out clean, approximately one hour, at 350° or according to cake mix directions.
