  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 2/3 c. shortening
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 2 pkg. instant pistachio pudding mix
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/4 c. milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c. club soda
  • 3/4 chopped nuts

Directions

    Cream sugar and shortening, add oil.

    Add vanilla and eggs. Alternate milk, soda and all dry ingredients.

    Can add 3/4 cup of chopped nuts.

    Bake in either tube pan for 40 minutes at 350°, 8 x 12-inch pan for 40 minutes at 350° or three layer pans for 35 minutes at 350°.
