Ingredients

  • 3 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 lb. hot sausage
  • 12 slices pepperoni, cut in fourths
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 large bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 c. fresh sliced mushrooms
  • 6 oz. can ripe, pitted olives, sliced in halves
  • 12 oz. shredded Mozzarella cheese (3 c.)
  • 29 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. basil
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 3 Tbsp. parsley
  • 12 oz. pkg. medium egg noodles

Directions

    Brown meat; drain excess fat.

    Add onion and bell pepper.

    Add spices, tomato sauce, mushrooms and pepperoni.

    Stir.

    Cover and simmer for 1/2 hour.

    Cook noodles as directed on package.

    Drain noodles; wash with cold water.

    Drain again and add to skillet. Warm, then add 1 cup Mozzarella cheese.

    Warm for 1 minute.

    Pour into 2 (9 x 13-inch) greased baking dishes.

    Divide sliced olives and lay on top of both dishes.

    Cover each with 1 cup Mozzarella cheese.

    Cover with foil.

    Bake both dishes or freeze 1 unbaked. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
