Ingredients

  • 4 tomatoes (medium)
  • 1 head of garlic
  • 1 green chilli pepper (optional)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 salt (to taste)
  • 1 ground black pepper (to taste)

Directions

    Chop the tomatoes and place in blender with garlic and chilli pepper.

    Blend until it becomes a smooth mixture.

    Pour the blended tomato mixture in a saucepan and cook it on low heat.

    Add the olive oil, tomato paste, oregano, salt and pepper.

    Cook the sauce for 10-15 minutes.

    Once cooked remove from heat and allow to cool.

    This can be used straight away or placed in jars and can be kept in the fridge for approximetly a week.
