- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 c. margarine or butter, melted and cooled
- 1 Tbsp. anise extract or vanilla or lemon extract
- 4 eggs, slightly beaten
Directions

1Grease pizzelle iron.

2Heat pizzelle iron according to manufacturer's directions.

3(You can also use a krumkake iron instead of pizzelle iron.)

4Mix all ingredients.

5Drop 1 tablespoon batter onto heated pizzelle iron and close iron.

6Bake about 30 seconds or until golden brown.

7Carefully remove pizzelle from iron; cool.

8Repeat with remaining batter.

9Makes about 3 1/2 dozen, 75 calories per cookie.
