- 1 cup basmati rice Uncooked Or Brown Rice - Note 1
- 1 teaspoon sunflower oil
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard seed
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seed
- 3 1/2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
Directions

1In a med saucepan heat oil and add mustard and cumin seeds.

2When the mustard seeds pop, add water, rice and salt.

3Bring to a boil.

4Cover and reduce heat to low.

5Cook for 15 in for basmati, 35 - 40 min for brown rice.

6Add black pepper; mix well and serve.
