Ingredients
- 6 cups cubed whole wheat bread
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 stalks celery, finely diced
- 1 onion, finely diced
- 5 large mushrooms, chopped
- 1 large garlic clove, minced
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh sage
- salt and pepper
- 14 cup half-and-half, 5%
Directions

1Heat oven to 375.

2In medium saute pan, over medium high heat, melt the oil/butter.

3Add the vegetables and saute until softened.

4Add the garlic and continue to cook until fragrant.

5Remove pan from heat and add the sage along with salt and pepper.

6Place bread cubes into a large bowl.

7Add the veg mixture along with the eggs and half/half.

8Mix until all is incorporated.

9Place mixture in a medium, greased, casserole dish.

10Bake in oven for 30 minutes.
