- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/4 c. cold water
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Sift flour, measure and sift again with salt.

2Cut in shortening with pastry blender until mixture is coarse.

3Work water in lightly with blender until dough hangs together in a ball.

4Turn 1/2 of the pastry onto lightly floured board.

5Roll in sheet 1/8-inch thick.

6Fit into pie pan.

7Keep remainder of dough for top crust or second crust.

8Bake at 375° for 12 to 15 minutes.
