  • 1 1/2 c. sifted plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 4 to 5 Tbsp. cold water

Directions

    Cut shortening in flour and salt until pieces are the size of small peas.

    Sprinkle water over mixture.

    Form into ball.

    Place on pastry board.

    Roll out for an 8 or 9-inch pie pan.

    Bake at 450° for 10 to 12 minutes, until golden brown.
