- 1 c. butter, softened
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 3 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. each: salt and ground mace
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp. lemon extract
Directions

1Cream butter and shortening.

2Gradually add sugar, beating well at medium speed of electric mixer.

3Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.

4Combine flour, baking powder, salt and mace.

5Stir well.

6Add flour mixture to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour.

7Mix just until blended after each addition.

8Stir in flavorings.
-
9Pour into greased and floured Bundt pan.
-
10Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours or until tester inserted in center comes out clean.

11Cool in pan 10 minutes; remove from pan and cool thoroughly on wire rack.
