  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk

    Fold butter into dry ingredients.

    Stir in buttermilk.

    Mix well.

    Put on a floured board; pat down until 1/2-inch thick, then cut into triangles.

    Cook in electric frypan at 375°, until brown on both sides.

    Makes 8 to 10.
