  • 3/4 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. powdered alum (optional)
  • 1/2 c. boiling water
  • food coloring
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vegetable oil

Directions

    Mix flour, salt and alum in mixing bowl. Add vegetable oil and boiling water; stir vigorously.
  2. 2
    Dough should not stick to side of bowl.
  3. 3
    Add food coloring and knead into dough until color is well blended.
  4. 4
    Makes 1 cup.
