- 2 lb. ground lamb (preferably shoulder or flank)
- salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
- 1/2 to 3/4 c. chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 to 1 tsp. paprika
- 6 pita rounds, cut in half
- sour cream
Directions

1Season lamb with salt and pepper to taste.

2Mix well and refrigerate overnight.

3Add onion, garlic and paprika.

4Grind mixture again, then flatten into thin patties about 6-inches in diameter.

5Again refrigerate overnight.

6Grill patties and toast pitas until slightly crispy. Place meat in pita pockets, folding patties in center.

7Serve with sour cream.

8Makes 6 to 8 servings.
