- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. sweet butter
- 1 c. flour, sifted
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 2 eggs
- 24 halves pitted purple plums
- topping (sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon)
Directions

1Cream sugar and butter. Add flour, baking powder, salt and eggs.

2Spoon batter into 9-inch spring-form pan.

3Place plum halves, skin side up, on top of batter.

4Sprinkle lightly with sugar and lemon juice. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
