Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. lukewarm water
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 1 egg
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

    Mix lukewarm water and yeast and set aside for 1 to 2 hours. In a large bowl mix boiling water, sugar and Crisco.

    Let cool to lukewarm.

    Add beaten egg, flour, salt, baking powder and soda. Mix all ingredients together and put in bowl with lid on.

    Place in refrigerator overnight.
